Who voted them in?

MP want’s a law against farting on airplanes.
MP sponsors bill to require all bloggers, WhatsApp and Facebook groups to be registered with the Communications Commission!

These are the headlines we look forward to these days, aside, of course, from the usual corruption scandals we are now inured to.
Of the myriad issues and that urgently need attention in our Kenya, lawmakers are showing once again just why we should not have voted them into parliament. In almost 3 years of this Parliament I think the only thing they have achieved is to increase their own remunerations, again. And even that was blocked at Executive level, after exhaustive pointless parliamentary deliberation. Have they achieved anything meaningful on behalf of Kenyans? We are the fools aren’t we, election after election?
Who voted them in? We did. So we get what we deserve, no?

Am I wrong to rant about this? Anyone out there who can offer comment to the contrary?
Will it ever change?

Maybe they should ban farting. We could then do away with noxious MPs.

As for the registration and licensing of published and social media this is an attempt by the government to censor and control freedom of speech. The bill has been tabled in Parliament and may see the end of this blog before it has even started!
